Is it really necessary to remember all the maths behind an algorithm indepth?

Or is it just enough to know the maths concepts used in a particular algorithm and the working?

In interviews, will they ask the explanation of math concepts of an algorithm in depth? Or only the maths concepts used and the working?

It depends on your level of education and experience. If you are not having a Phd or a Master degree and not having any experience then you may not get questions about the mathematics behind machine learning algorithms.
